  • Have mask on
  • Take off glasses and hats
  • Keep face in the monitor’s guidelines for your face
  • Please only allow 5 -10 seconds for the scanning process

If the light bar stays white, the scanner is still processing

  • The scanner is having difficulty identifying your facial features, and you should try the following:
    • Remove your glasses, hat, mask, other facial coverings
    • Pull your hair back
    • Scan again

If the light bar turns green, facial recognition was successful and temperature is normal

  • If it shows your photo and name, you are good to go
    • A daily pass will be issued to your HPU email within 2 minutes and will also be available on your Mobile App (Daily Health Survey). This daily pass will be required for entry into shared spaces and upon request by faculty and security
